Johann Jakob Scheuzcher was a Swiss born naturalist with a wide set of interests who produced one of the great monumental works of the early eighteenth century.  Containing 761 engravings, Physique Sacree is set to the stories of the 1611 King James version of the Bible with the images providing a visual narrative alongside biblical text.   Published simultaneously in Latin, German and French it was an incredible undertaking employing many of the best engravers of the day.  Our selection of images is taken from a French edition.  The 5 x 7 card is blank inside and comes with an accompanying envelope - shipping is free.
